Jenks Theatre offers a wide variety of classes for students to take. Here you will find a comprehensive list of all our options.
ACTING
Perform, Direct, and Learn the Art of Theatre through different styles of theatre throughout its history. Includes classes such as Intro to Acting, Acting Styles and Directing, Advanced Acting, and Trojan Players.
STAGE MAKEUP
Learn the Art of Theatrical, Film, Fashion, and Special Effects Makeup and Costuming. Includes classes such as Stage Makeup and Costuming and Advanced Stage Makeup and Costuming.
STAGECRAFT
Get hands on experience backstage by building sets of shows, learn how to operate lights and sound for events, and build your eye for technical theater. Includes classes such as Beginning Stagecraft and Advanced Stagecraft.
STAGE DESIGN
This course explores technical and managerial careers in theatre beyond traditional stagecraft. Students study theatrical marketing, social media promotion, box office management, and stage management. The class assists with the social media presence and box office operations of the Jenks Theatre Department, gaining real-world experience in theatre administration and audience engagement. Students also have the opportunity to serve on production crews at the Jenks PAC throughout the theatre season. Additional topics may include props management and overall theatre department operations.
